Rate Hikes Disguised as News

Comcast hikes rates for Oregon cable TV, Internet access | OregonLive.com. This article was in our paper Monday and is about how cable bills are going up AGAIN. At our house, we don’t have cable and never will.  So, maybe I wouldn’t mind cable (and I know my husband would like to have it to {Rate Hikes Disguised as News}

Store Security Tag Still Attached to Coat

Store Security Tag Still Attached to Coat

on Wednesday, April 20th, 2011

This question comes from my dear friend, Darcy.  Darcy loves it when I call her from an estate sale or garage sale and say, “Get over here, fast!” – she comes running!  She’s one of my regular partners in crime when I head to “The Bins” for some shopping fun.  Our field trips to the {Store Security Tag Still Attached to Coat}

Shower Curtains

on Monday, August 22nd, 2011

Ask Sara question:  This question comes from a very stylishly, frugal friend.  Bridget asks, “What do you suggest for a shower curtain that lasts?  Do you use a cloth one so it can be washed? I despise the plastic ones that you have to throw away after a while!” For shower curtains, I use both {Shower Curtains}

Shoo Fly Don't Bother Me

Shoo Fly Don’t Bother Me

on Wednesday, October 19th, 2011

Really, I’m talking about the fruit fly here.  It seems this time of year brings out the fruit fly in my kitchen.  All the fruits and vegetables that have been recently picked from our garden and are ready to be eaten seem to attract masses of fruit flies.  Early fall seems to be the worst {Shoo Fly Don’t Bother Me}

Why I love Portland!

Why I love Portland!

on Tuesday, December 7th, 2010

I just picked up this little table on my way to the grocery store!  I just love it when people put their “junk” out on the sidewalk with a little sign that says “free” and it becomes my “treasure” and it fits into my little car.  Actually, this would not have fit into my car {Why I love Portland!}
