Sweethearts’ Dinner Group

Entertaining Dinner Group from Go Gingham

For the dinner group Brad and I hosted in February, we went with a “love theme.” It was an Italian centric menu – since it was the day after Valentine’s Day and Italians – from what I’ve heard – are known for their love and passion.

As the hosting couple, we were in charge of the main dish and we gave out assignments: appetizer, salad, dessert.

It was gingham and hearts and good food all around!

Sweet potted plants and candles on a gingham tablecloth – of course!

  • appetizer – antipasto platter
  • main – garlic and rosemary grilled flank steak drizzled with olive oil
  • side – oven roasted potatoes, onions, and mushrooms
  • salad – arugula salad
  • dessert – chocolate panna cotta

This was the appetizer. Very cheesy!

The salad was peppery arugula with a light dressing – homemade of course!

Next, we made the entree – grilled flank steak. Heaven!

As you can see, we eat well and enjoy a night out – and don’t have to spend a lot of money. Living well on less – it’s very Go Gingham!
