Here’s a sale that sounds like a good way to get “new to you” clothing without ever having to leave your home! The company, thredUP, sells used clothing that has been carefully reviewed and they put it for sale in their on-line shop – otherwise known as a website. You can also sell them your clothing. They only accept name brand, quality merchandise.
While I’ve never used thredUp before, the concept really agrees with me. We need the “things” in life that have been purchased new to live more than once and clothing that’s not being worn or that children have grown out of can be worn and enjoyed by others.

Sounds interesting, but it is yet another site that wants you to set up and account and login to use it. I just don’t do it anymore because too many times I’ve gone through the trouble of setting up only to discover that there isn’t anything that suits my needs. I prefer sites that give you the opportunity to tour the site first to see if it is worth it to set up an account. Maybe there is a function on their site like this, but I didn’t see it.

I have not tried this site either but mostly because I’m very tactile and I really need to touch and feel items before I buy them. It’s not for everyone but I do think for folks who don’t live near second-hand stores, it provides a good option for designer type clothing at much lower prices. Thanks, Nancy! 🙂
