Happy Four Year Anniversary Plus a Reader Survey

Go Gingham Happy Four Year Anniversay

Where does the time go? It’s been four years since I first pushed the “publish button” here at Go Gingham! Four years plus one month – I’m actually not sure where the month of October went – but we’ll celebrate now.

When I decided to launch this site, I didn’t really know much about websites, social media, taking pictures, or writing for the web. All I really knew – and what I’ve been passionate about for years – was living well on less. Living well and being kind – to the planet, to ourselves, to our pocketbooks, and to others. That sweet spot “good for you, good for the environment, and good for the budget” is how I try to live every day while being positive.

Being positive about living on less isn’t always popular. Living well on more is easier than living well on less. Living well on less requires more time – and creativity. That “creativity” is what I envisioned me sharing with you. What’s actually happening is trading or exchanging of information – with each other.

That exchange of information over these four years is what I love. Sharing ideas with you and getting new ideas from you. Sharing my techniques and learning your techniques. Inspiring you and being inspired by you. (Eliminating paper towels from a home was the ultimate example of this!)

Go Gingham Happy Four Year Anniversay

Thank you – for reading, for sharing, for stopping me on the street corner to say you had a ‘Go Gingham moment.’ Thank you for emailing me your comments because you’re too shy to leave one online. Thank you for sending me pictures of your cleaned out closets and drawers. Thank you for making one of my recipes and sharing it at a party – and then telling me how it was a hit. Thank you for tolerating my love of gingham and exclamation points. There are never enough of those! Thank you! Thank you! From the rooftops, please, “Let’s Go Gingham!”

Alrighty….how about a couple of giveaways? Yes, please! I’ve got two slotted for the week or so. First giveaway? Three jars of assorted Bonne Maman preserves (the only jams I like to buy and the lids are gingham – of course!) and a 3-Quart Heritage Baker from Le Creuset – you get to choose the color. Second giveaway? A box of beautiful Harry and David Royal Riviera® pears. Always a favorite at our house, these pears are delicious, juicy, and non-gmo.

And, lastly, if you have a few minutes, would you please take a reader survey? Whether you’re a faithful reader who never misses an update or you’re reading for the first time, I’d love to get your input.

Again, thank you, dear reader, for reading. I appreciate your time, your comments, and your feedback.

What’s your favorite way to celebrate a blog-i-versary or a work anniversary? What’s your favorite way to celebrate a birthday? Anniversary?

  10. Dear Sara,

I’m so happy for you! As you know, keeping up a blog for so long with no boss, no salary, and no officemates is not easy. But you do it so well, and as others have noted, with a contagiously positive attitude.

Congratulations on hitting this milestone — keep going, Sara!
