Yes, I’m skipping about wearing gingham because this month marks five-years since I first pressed ‘publish’ and Go Gingham came to be! Wondering how five years have gone so quickly? Me, too!
Even though there’s no gingham in these pictures – we’re celebrating this five-year milestone with fruit instead of gingham.
This apple came from the tree we planted in the tiny space between our yard and the neighbor’s. When we ripped out our hedges, we planted two columnar apple trees. Only one apple grew and we ate it last night. It was absolutely delicious! Sweet, no worms, and our vegetarian squirrel (who loves Swiss chard + beets) didn’t eat it first.
So…how to celebrate? With a giveaway of fruit, of course! Because I’m trying (and it’s hard!) to have less stuff in life and give edible gifts, fruit is the perfect way to celebrate.
One lucky reader will get a box full of gorgeous pomegranates. These will arrive shipped directly to your home from the farm where they were grown. Mine came from Fairview Orchards in Ojai, California. They’re fresh + organic. We’ve been enjoying them on everything – salads, granola cereal, and our tongues – spooned directly into mouths!
As always, a big thank you – for reading and sharing Go Gingham. There’s so much to read on the web and so little time. I appreciate you taking the time to read what I’ve written and sharing your comments and insight. Thank you! Thank you! xoxo
Click here to enter the giveaway which is a joint giveaway from my friends at Barn 2 Door and Go Gingham. They kindly sent me a box of pomegranates – thank you! You will love them! The giveaway ends Tuesday, October 27, 2015 and is open to U.S. residents only.
What type of fruit do you like to celebrate with?

Congratulations on hitting the 5 year mark; that seemed to happen in the blink of an eye! I guess the fruit that I celebrate with depends on the time of year. I love pomegranates during the holiday season as they add such color and beauty. My summer celebration fruit would probably be either juicy plums or nectarines. And I always buy Karl some Rainier cherries for his birthday in May!

Five years have come and gone but you haven’t aged a bit (neither have I, I’m sure of it! Ha!). 🙂
I like whatever is in season. I have to avoid citrus, however. Boo.

Congratulations!! 🙂 Raspberries or blueberries are my go-to celebratory fruit, but anything ripe makes my heart sing. 🙂
