Three Year Anniversary Month Long Celebration

Go Gingham Approved!

Can you believe it’s been 3-years since I pressed the publish button for the first time here at Go Gingham? I know, I can’t believe it either! The official launch party hasn’t even taken place yet – the one to celebrate my taking over the world with stylish frugality.

Because I like to spread out my celebrations in real life (think month-long celebrations!), I thought we should spread them out here, too. That’s why for the month of October, there are several exciting giveaways planned.

Wondering what’s been cooked up for the month?

  1. Because “National Match-Up Day” is this month, we’ll start with a giveaway from The Container Store. What’s “National Match-Up Day?” That’s my made-up holiday where we clean out and organize food storage cupboards and drawers. The Container Store is such a fun place to get inspired and find new ideas for organizing homes!
  2. Christopher Kimball of America’s Test Kitchen fame is speaking at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 in Portland, Oregon. Mark you calendars because giveaway winner will receive 2 tickets to the event! Who will you bring with you?
  3. America’s Test Kitchen cookbook giveaway! Get a sneak-peek into what happens behind the scenes at America’s Test Kitchen from a tour we did this past summer when we visited the Test Kitchen. Let’s just say even my teenagers were impressed with what happens at the Test Kitchen – and it’s hard to impress teens!

Even when not filming the popular TV series, America’s Test Kitchen has a lot of filming going in the kitchen!

Please check back throughout the month for these giveaways and more articles and ideas that are good for you, good for the environment, and good for your pocketbook.

Do you like to spread your celebrations out or keep them short and sweet?

Disclosure: I received 2 tickets to Christopher Kimball’s talk in exchange for giving 2 tickets away and I’m not getting anything from the Container Store but I thought it would be fun to have them give a reader something! I am disclosing this in accordance with the FTC’s guidelines.

  1. Congratulations to you on a fine job of helping all of us live more stylishly frugal lives these past 3 years! Here’s to many more years (and posts!) of your wit and wisdom. Job well done, my dear friend!

    1. I want to favorite this comment, Darcy! Thank you and for reading all of it. You and my mom were the only readers for a bit so it’s nice that you’ve stuck around. 🙂 Sorry to miss the outing to Goodwill Bins – next time, friend!

  2. Congratulations, Sara! I have enjoyed the past 3 years with your blog so much!
May I suggest a post regarding something to do with the traditional 3 year anniversary gift of leather, or the modern gift of crystal/glass?

  3. Congratulations on your 3rd blogaversary! That is quite an accomplishment. I like my celebrations drawn out. Three days ago, my husband went and got my birthday stuff. Two days ago, several books and some transfer paper came in the mail (also from hubby). Today (my actual birthday) my FIL took the whole family out to eat. One day birthdays and anniversaries are so boring. :p
