With our family traveling to Spain for our 8th home exchange, I’ve got posts lined up to keep the momentum going here at Go Gingham! We’ll be staying in small family run hotels (called a hostal in Spain), hostels, home swapping, and camping while in Spain. I haven’t figured out how I’m going to bring my comfortable bed roll with me in my tiny suitcase. Please keep your fingers crossed for pleasant weather and no mosquitoes.
While I’m away, you’ll find guest posts from….
Summer Travel and Guest Posts
Annie Kip, a life design expert, and the creator of Plenty Perfect. Annie doesn’t profess to be the best, the most, the first, or perfect in any way…plenty perfect is more her style! Through her blog, PlentyPerfect.com, she shares her experiences with consciously designing her life around the idea that less can be more, good can be great, and just enough can be plenty perfect! Annie and I used to work together at Ralph Lauren and we’ve totally reconnected over our blogs!
Shelley Miller, a home exchange expert and world traveler, writes articles and leads workshops that show travelers how to experience the world authentically and affordably with home swap vacations. She and her family have completed 13 home exchanges in 12 years. Shelley is enthusiastic about travel and eating good food. Shelley and I both graduated from the University of San Diego but only connected recently, through home swapping and our blogs.
Mary Werner, my sweet sister, who is an expert knitter. Mary is busy finishing her nursing degree and getting married in August. She’ll be sharing tips on personalizing a wedding and how to knit a tie for a groom. She also knitted her floral bouquet. She’s so talented and does have a blog about knitting but has been too busy to update it these days!
Liana Ottaviano, my saintly sister-in-law, because she’s married to one my brothers, will share with us her super-duper-secret recipe on how to make homemade yogurt. Liana is a frugal living expert and she has lots of style, too. I always learn something from her and she’s a fabulous cook. Liana keeps bees in her backyard, her husband on his toes, and a pre-teenager busy with DIY projects. She loves garage sale shopping and organizing neighborhood dinners and breakfasts.
Thank you to all of these fine ladies for sharing their talents and expertise!
While I’m home swapping and camping my way around Spain, your comments may not be moderated as quickly as usual but I’ll get to them eventually. Since this is a vacation, I won’t have my computer with me and will be focusing on being present with my family. Happy Summer!
